Winter Clinic Series

This clinic series provides essential education on foundational dressage principles, progressing to practical exercises for in-hand work and riding. These sessions are designed to help your horse find improved suppleness, alignment, and stability, in order to develop proper postural and gymnastic muscles for riding. Winter is the ideal time to slow down and focus on foundational skills. Dressage is truly "for the horse," and the principles explored in this series will benefit every horse, regardless of discipline or tack.

Rhythm and Relaxation Classes: Rhythm is the foundation of the dressage training scale for a reason! Learn how to recognize rhythm in all three gaits, and in between movements. We will also discuss tempo and relaxation. The first ground class will help riders establish their own rhythm on the ground, so that their horses can begin to connect to the "rider's" rhythm. Both the ground and riding class will help your horse learn to take intentional forward steps with good posture and supple, elastic muscles.
